"The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek."
Joseph Campbell
My Story
I am a systems strategist, researcher, and guide. Over the past 30 years, I have designed and led research initiatives across four continents, translating complex data into actionable frameworks for governments, international development organizations, and mission-driven enterprises. My work sits at the intersection of behavioral science, Indigenous epistemology, and institutional systems design.
I specialize in organizing large-scale research projects, conducting focus groups, building research teams, and developing strategies that produce measurable outcomes. In Kenya, I led a nationwide dairy industry audit, collecting data across the country, which led to dramatically improved industry efficacy for both corporations and smallholder farmers.
I created the research framework for USAID's first micro-loan banking model, which became the template for their programs across the developing world. I co-authored women's rights legislation in Rwanda that was ratified into law and remains in effect today.
My current focus is on integrating Indigenous intelligence into contemporary systems, particularly AI ethics and healthcare education. In January 2025, I joined MIT Critical Data as a speaker and workshop facilitator, presenting on "Weaving Ways of Knowing: Indigenous, Ancestral, and Religious Wisdom and Medical Education."
I have consulted for USAID, Freedom House, Human Rights Watch, International Justice Mission, Lawyers Without Borders, DAI, Technoserve, the United Nations, and the governments of the United States, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Kenya.
I designed the first Citizen Astronaut Training Program for Space for Humanity with Yale University and Paragon Performance, training two Blue Origin astronauts; both are now internationally recognized leaders advancing space access and STEM education.
I am the founder of Passage Collective, developing ethical certification frameworks that translate Indigenous values into operational standards for AI, economic systems, and institutional governance. I am also conducting independent research mapping 65,000 years of human migration patterns against Indigenous wisdom traditions.
I'm a published author, having co-written Wisdom Meets Passion with NYT bestselling author Dan Miller. I have taught and spoken at MIT, Vanderbilt, Belmont, Bradley, The DO Lectures, Leaders Quest, Human Tech Week, and the Humans to Mars Summit.
I'm a devoted single father of four phenomenal humans. They are my greatest contribution to a more harmonious world, and my greatest teachers.
Strategist / Activist / Guide
I volunteer as the Chief Strategist for two nonprofits, Kaiāulu and Coherence Lab.
Today, my focus is on Passage, which I have been developing for over a decade. I hope you’ll join me there!
In November of 2025 I began working with MIT & Harvard on AI ethics and integrating Indigenous perspectives into healthcare education.
My Mission
To shine so bright that it liberates the light in others.
I believe in the promise of symbiosis in every interaction. We can work together to create a world that celebrates our uniqueness, prioritizes our unity, and harmonizes our relationship with the natural world.
I wake up every day with the unyielding faith that all of this is possible and that my work is contributing to that reality.
I have faith that there is always a third way.

My Family
There’s nothing more important to me than my family.
They are what drives me, the rudder on the ship.
I’m blessed with 4 children.
One adopted, three biological. All my children.
Ranging in age from 10 - 31.
And I have twins. A girl and a boy.
They are my journey-mates.
My students.
My guides.
My Lions
These are a few of my favorites from the earlier years. They’re the best part of me.

My father passed away on January 21, 2024. I was given the honor of being his “Death Doula”, and walking him home. It was the most challenging journey I’ve ever taken, and also the greatest honor of my life.
I’m writing an ongoing series on my Blog called, Walking My Father Home. This journey has reshaped my world. It’s part of me now.

These are the initiatives I’m leading today.
I invite you to explore Passage, a collective I’ve been co-creating for a decade.
In late 2025 I launched ALVARA to provide natural, Indigenous vitality science to those seeking foundational vitality.
It’s an honor to continue my volunteer service as the Cheif Strategist at Kaiāulu and Coherence Lab.
